It's about the exact moment where I could feel the music again, because for a while that just wasn't the case. For instance, 'Right Lane' was one of the first songs that I wrote back then with Christian Neander. "The record features a few songs that are important to me - not all of them, but there are a few. I consciously took this liberty because I'm sick of only belonging to one certain genre. I've got some songs on it that are more in an electronic direction, others that are more hard rock, and I also have pop songs, so there's no real specific direction. I guess it's probably the signal that I gave myself somewhere along the way. I knew in any case that the record would be called 'The Signal'.
